I find it hard to follow sometimes, what Christof Coppens, Brussels fashion enfant terrible, is trying to express with what he does. But as a Belgian I guess you have to follow some surrealistic footsteps. His crazy hat creations fascinated me, when I went to Brussels to write an article on Brussels’ fashion scene a couple of years ago. Which pillow should I get for my couch? The colorful designs of African fabrics have always looked great to me, but these modern and strong prints are even more appealing. And although I am fine with my occasional beer here and there, I was more than happy to find out that hop can be used in other great forms as well.
